The Acura MDX is one of the two SUV's manufactured by Acura, the other one being the RDX. MDX stands for multi- dimensional luxury. The MDX was the first ever crossover SUV to have third row seating, besides the Honda Pilot. The Acura MDX seats 7 passengers while the Pilot seats 8. The wheelbase is 111.0 in (2.8 m), the length is 193.6 in (4.9 m), the width is 77.2 in (1.9 m), and the height is 67.6 in (1.7 m). In 2014, this car was rated 5 stars.Acura upgraded the car for 2017, with diamond pentagon grille, LED headlamps, and LED signals.

On May 22, 2012, sales in the USA for the Acura ILX began. Sometime before that in 2012, it was unveiled at the North American Auto Show and the Chicago Auto Show. The price of this compact luxury sedan is about $29,590. In 2014, Acura added 4 different upgrades to the car: 3- angle rearview camera, leather interior, heated front seats, and 17 inch wheels. These upgrades added $1,000 to the price, so the new cost was about $30,590. This sedanwas the first gasolline- electric hybrid vehicle. It was based upon the Honda Civic.
